Road Closure Update

🚧 New Dropped Kerbs Installed in Blisworth 🚶‍♀️🛞

We’re pleased to share that several new dropped kerbs have now been installed across the village—making Blisworth more accessible for everyone, especially those using pushchairs, wheelchairs, and mobility aids.

These improvements follow requests from residents, which the Parish Council passed on to West Northamptonshire Council and Kier Highways. We’ve been actively advocating for better accessibility over recent months, and we’re delighted to see progress being made—at no cost to Blisworth residents.

While the final locations were determined by Kier following site surveys (based on road layout and safety), we’ll continue to raise community suggestions and champion further improvements wherever possible.

We would like to sincerely apologise to any residents who were affected by the works and thank you for your patience and understanding during the installation period.

Although we weren’t notified in advance of the start date, we’re always committed to sharing updates on works in the village as soon as we receive them.
